Internal Security Minister Gilad Erdan on Thursday approved the appointment of Colonel (res.) Yuval Gat to the position of Head of Communications and Population in the Israel Police, on the recommendation of Police Chief Roni Alsheikh.
Gat, who has a Bachelor of Middle East Studies and Arabic from Haifa University and a master's degree in communication from NYU, previously served as CEO of the Telemesser. He has a rich military experience in special units.
