Shin Bet (ISA, Israel Security Agency) forces revealed on Thursday additional details regarding this past month’s stabbing attack in Ashkelon, during which an IDF soldier was lightly wounded.

After stabbing the soldier, the terrorist fled into a residential area, trailed by bystanders and a soldier, who shot him. The terrorist was severely wounded by the gunshot, and later succumbed to his wounds.

The 32-year-old Sudanese Muslim terrorist, who infiltrated into Israel several years ago, had a police record and had escaped the Hoot detention center in 2014. On his cell phone were images of “Islamic State” (ISIS) terrorists from all over the world.
