Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat responded on Thursday to statements made by British PM David Cameron, according to which he is horrified by the situation in eastern Jerusalem.
“Britain is a good and important friend of Israel and Jerusalem, but Cameron is mistaken, due to a lack of familiarity with the facts and the reality in the region.”
“By what construction is he horrified in the east of the city? By the newest and most advanced schools that we are building there? By the new roads that we are paving there? By the medical clinics and cultural centers we established?”
