Lehava director Bentzi Gopshtain will be questioned by police on Thursday, in light of the article he wrote, claiming that missionaries are blood-sucking vampires that must be expelled from Israel. Gopshtain was called for questioning for allegedly encouraging violent acts.

Gopshtain said in response that “In every generation, the nation of Israel has suffered from the missionaries who came to the country to convert Jews to Christianity… It is sad that when there is a Jewish government, religious Police Commissioner and Torah observant Attorney General, they still view it as acceptable to investigate me regarding what I wrote about those very missionaries. The time has come for the Israeli government to legislate against the missionaries.”
