US President Barack Obama signed a bill on Wednesday, banning the importation to the US of goods produced by slaves, children and abused women, AP reports.
Prior to the signing of the bill, an existing US customs law prohibiting importation of goods produced by forced or child labor was largely ignored, due to supply and demand.
