Hundreds of rabbis affiliated with the Reform movement from all over Israel and North America arrived at the southern Kotel plaza on Thursday for a first official morning prayer service (shacharit).

Rabbi Gilad Kariv, leader of the Reform movement in Israel, said that “The prayers of hundreds of male and female rabbis at the Kotel are the winning responses to incitement on the part of the ultra-Orthodox leadership. They continue to incite and we will continue to create a pluralistic and tolerant reality in Israel.”
