Marwan Barghouti, currently serving five life sentences in an Israeli prison, intends on running for the position of Chairman of the Palestinian Authority, following the end of Mahmoud Abbas’s term, Barghouti’s wife announced.
According to reports on Army Radio, Barghouti’s wife said that her husband feels obliged to run in the elections, despite being incarcerated.
