The B’Tselem organization publicized on Wednesday morning a report containing the testimonies of 116 Palestinian Arab inmates, who complained about harsh prison conditions, sleep and food prevention, and the use of violence at Shikma Prison.
The Shin Bet (ISA, Israel Security Agency) responded to the report, saying that “The Shin Bet would like to make clear that the Supreme Court is dealing with an appeal regarding the claims made in B’Tselem’s draft. Since the state filed a detailed response to the report denying the claims, the Shin Bet has no intention of responding to the claims presented in the draft in a strategic and distorted fashion.”
