Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) spoke with Army Radio about Yisrael Beytenu head Avigdor Liberman's attack on the government.

"If the State of Israel's Foreign Service was so important to Liberman, he could have answered the Prime Minister's offer to appoint him as the Foreign Minister of a national government. His refusal shows how much the Foreign Service interests him," she said.

Hotovely added: "The connection between Liberman and Lapid is a connection between 'new politics' and old politics whose whole purpose is to cynically use Israel's Foreign Service as a political weapon."

As for the difference between the bereaved Israeli parents and the parents of Palestinian terrorists, as expressed by the police commissioner, she said that "there are two societies here. One society that raises its children to value the sanctity of life while the other educates its children to go out and murder. There is a fundamental difference here between mothers and between bereavements."
