The Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Committee will discuss a softened version of the Suspension Law, which is designed to allow the Knesset to suspend members with a special majority of 90 votes.

Committee head Nissan Slomiansky (Jewish Home), who proposed the bill, deleted a clause in the original bill that would permit the suspension of an MK for their statements, and not only for their actions. In addition, he removed a clause in another bill that would permit a suspended MK to appeal to the Supreme Court.
