Transport Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) and Meretz head Zehava Galon have been trading barbs over the recent comments made by IDF Chief of Staff Gadi Eizenkot.

"I read that Zehava Galon is attack me for my remarks on the Chief of Staff's statements. Now I'm relaxed, if we were on the same side I'd be worried. The Chief of Staff's comment was, to me, unsuccessful and mistaken, and I am convinced that he will soon clarify it. But for Galon this is her ideology - to always support the Palestinian side," said Katz.

He continued: "Honorable Meretz chair, we are dealing with terror from incited minors. If their parents watched them at home, instead of educating them to hate and murder Jews, they would not be hurt. When you went on a pilgrimage to [PA President] Mahmoud Abbas, instead of encouraging him, you could have demanded that he stop the incitement. I am promoting my initiative to deport the families of terrorists to Syria or to Gaza, and I am convinced that after two deportations, this wave of terror from minors will end."
