US President Barack Obama wrote on his Twitter account that he will make a historic visit to Cuba on March 21. While there, he will meet with President Raul Castro.
"Next month, I'll travel to Cuba to advance our progress and efforts that can improve the lives of the Cuban people," he wrote.
This confirms earlier rumors of the first US presidential visit to Cuba since the two countries renewed their diplomatic relations.
