The Interior Ministry has announced that the Kiryat Yam beach is again safe for swimming. Tests found that the water is no longer polluted.
Furthermore, the Ministry emphasized that the swimming season has not yet begun, and so bathing is still forbidden and unsafe if there is no lifeguard present.
