Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will set off for a two-day visit to Germany today (Monday). While there, he is expected to meet with Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Netanyahu is accompanied by the ministers Yuval Steinitz (Likud), Yoav Galant (Kulanu), Ze'ev Elkin (Likud) and Ayelet Shaked (Jewish Home). All four will meet with their Germany counterparts.
Netanyahu and Merkel have had a regular discussion every year. This time, they are expected to focus on the situation in the Middle East, with an emphasis on Syria and the refugees reaching Europe, the Israeli-Palestinian issue, and relations between the European Union and Israel.
