Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke at the Supreme Court about the natural gas outline today.
"The gas development is important for Israel's standing in the Middle East," he said, adding: "Without the outline there would be no investment and no development of new fields."
Netanyahu is taking the unusual approach of personally appearing at the Supreme Court in order to defend the plan.
