French President François Hollande has called on Russia to stop backing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and to again demand that Assad give up his power.
"I have asked Russia for this because there are thousands of refugees who have fled the explosions," said Hollande. He added that Assad is massacring his own people, with Russian support.
