Shas director Yoav Ben Tzur spoke in the Knesset, offering harsh words for Women of the Wall.
He referred to them as "Women of Provocation" and wondered whether they "are careful to say the bedtime Shema, or whether they run from synagogue to synagogue in case they missed the Torah reading at the Kotel."
"Women of the Wall's entire goal is to bash and trample Judaism," he added.
Ben Tzur's comment came after this week's government decision to set up a section of the Kotel complex for non-Orthodox prayers.
