The Knesset Assembly has rejected MK Tzipi Livni's (Zionist Union) bill on NGOs. The proposal called to require NGOs to report on the identity of their donors.
It would also allow the official registrar to grant NGOs permission not to reveal their donors, though the names of such NGOs would be published.
Livni proposed her bill privately, and it was voted down on its preliminary reading.
