The Knesset plenum will discuss on Wednesday a proposal made by the Zionist Union to form a parliamentary investigation committee to look into the environmental and health-related state of the Haifa Gulf.
One of the reasons that the committee was proposed was a study, according to which 20-30% of babies born in the region have smaller head circumferences and lower birth weights, due to the heavy air pollution.
