Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud) has decided to appoint reserve General Giora Rom to be the head of the National Directorate for Traffic Safety.
Rom, who has recently served as the director of the civilian air authority, will replace Dr. Ya'akov Sheinen, who finished his position at the National Directorate for Traffic Safety several months ago.
