The salaries of IDF soldiers during their mandatory service is being raised, starting today (Monday).
Combat soldiers will receive 1,615 shekels ($408 US) per month, and combat support soldiers will receive 1,167 shekels per month ($295 US).
Non-combat soldiers will also get an increase and now earn 810 shekels ($205 US) per month.
The increases will come from the 600 million shekels ($152 million US) that was added to the defense budget for the benefit of soldier's welfare.
