MK Yael Cohen Paran (Zionist Union) has offered his praise for the government's decision to create a space for non-Orthodox prayer at the Kotel.
"This is an important day for Reform, Conservative, and all Jews. Only by welcoming all varieties of Judaism as equal can we ensure the continued existence of the Jewish People and the continued existence of the State of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state," she said.
MK Cohen Paran added: "The Kotel belongs to all of us. This is a welcome step that brings diaspora Jews, most of whom belong to the Reform and Conservative movement, closer to the State of Israel. I will arrange a meeting with the Minister for Religious Affairs soon in order to ensure that the decision comes into effect."
