MK Elazar Stern (Yesh Atid) has offered his praise for the government's decision to create an additional prayer space at the Kotel for non-Orthodox worshippers.

"Aside from the strategic importance of the State of Israel's connection with diaspora Jews, it is important for the state to embrace all forms of Judaism after years of avoidance," he said. "I am happy that the government has moved from the stage of talk to the stage of action, and I am full of hope that the project will indeed come to fruition within the next few months."

MK Stern particularly congratulated Avihai Mendalblit, the government secretary, and the Jewish movements in Israel and abroad that arrived at a solution that is "respectful to all."
