Amnesty International says that there is extensive evidence that Burndian security forces killed dozens of people and buried them in mass graves last month. Burundi is located in East Africa.
"The [satellite] imagery, dating from late December and early January, shows disturbed earth consistent with witness accounts. Witnesses told Amnesty International that the graves were dug on the afternoon of Dec. 11, in the immediate aftermath of the bloodiest day of Burundi's escalating crisis," said an official statement.
The Burundi government says that the accusations are based on lies provided by exiled opponents.
