French officials are encouraging the European Union to place new sanctions on Iran, following its recent missile tests, Associated Press reports.
The request was filed only two days after the EU and US lifted their sanctions against the Islamic Republic, as agreed upon in last year's nuclear deal. Its timing also coincided with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani's visit to Paris.
