Last Monday, a jackal broke into a backyard in the Upper Galilee community of Matat. The jackal tested positive for rabies.
The Health Ministry requests that anyone who was in contact with the rabid animal or whose animals were in contact with the jackal, or with any stray animals, direct themselves to the Akko Health Ministry offices, or to the Health Ministry offices closest to their homes.
