The official scientist at the Education Ministry, Professor Ami Volansky, has announced that he will resign after two years in his position.
Officials at the Ministry were quoted by Kol Yisrael as saying that Volansky was offered to continue in his role for another year, and afterwards would be examined for more, but that he demanded that his term be extended by two years.
Professor Volansky's associates claim that the offer of only one year was only intended to make him resign.
