The Yesha Council on Thursday called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon to act to ensure that the 200 Jews who moved into legally purchased homes in Hevron are not evicted.

“The Yesha Council congratulates the City of the Patriarchs and the residents of Hevron for buying houses in the Avraham Avinu neighborhood. These actions have to be done every day and every year. At this time, when terrorism strikes throughout the country, we must act to expand the settlement enterprise. This is the appropriate Zionist answer,” it said.

"We urge the Prime Minister and Defense Minister to enable the continued development and strengthening of Hevron, as that is the way to true peace and the continuation of life together here,” added the Yesha Council.
