German Chancellor Angela Merkel has again called for European countries to come up with a joint response to the refugee crisis. She emphasized the role Turkey could play.
She also noted that the European Union will reexamine the situation next month, during a planned summit. "Then we can draw an interim conclusion, then another interim conclusion, and then we will see where we stand," she said.
