Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke on Tuesday at a festive Knesset debate in honor of the Knesset’s 67th anniversary.
“The incitement against us by the Palestinian Arabs, including from top PA leadership sources, is not stopping,” Netanyahu indicated. “They are not educating their nation to make peace, but rather nourish them with the illusion of a return to 1948 borders.”
According to the PM, “Herein lies the root of the dispute: The Palestinian Arabs consistently refuse to recognize Israel as the national state of the Jewish nation. We’re not talking about a territorial dispute about ‘settlements,’ or ‘territories.’ That, we might be able to resolve with time. the root of the dispute is the mere existence of Israel and the desire to erase us from the face of the earth.”
