Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon (Likud) has been kept updated on the details of today's (Sunday) attack in Otniel and the manhunt for the terrorist.
"Today's murder in Otniel teaches us yet again what sort of brutal and ruthless enemy we face. The security forces - the IDF, the Shin Bet, and the police - will catch the murderer and those who sent him, should there be any. We will not rest and we will not be silent until we bring the terrorist to justice, wherever he may be," said Ya'alon.
He continued: "The struggle against Palestinian terror requires us to be firm and keep an iron hand, alongside patience, preservation, and consideration, as it presents us with a complex challenge. The security forces are working day and night in this struggle, and they will stop this terror, just as we have overcome other attempts to attack the State of Israel and its citizens. I wish to share in sorrow with Dafna Meir's family."
