The administrative-technical workers' union at the Weizmann Institute, with support from the Histadrut in Rehovot, have declared a general strike. As a result, the approximately 900 workers who support the institute's research will cease performing all of their work.
A labor dispute has been growing at the institute since 2010. The union recently agreed to work together with the Histadrut in order to find a solution.
