Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely on Friday responded to comments by Education Minister Naftali Bennett, who said that one can learn about the DNA of all Foreign Ministry employees from the actions of former diplomat Alon Liel.

"I do not accept the statement of Minister Bennett that there is a problem in the DNA of Foreign Ministry employees. Alon Liel and his few partners are the exceptions, they are not the rule," Hotovely said, adding, "Foreign Ministry officials, with whom I work every day, are dedicated people who serve their country with dignity, unlike Liel and his friends who decided to turn their backs on the country and act against it."
