Security officials in the former Soviet country of Georgia say that they have arrested three people on suspicion of trying to sell radioactive cesium, Associated Press reports.

The three were caught in Tbilisi, the country's capital, while asking for $100,000 in exchange for an unstated amount of cesium-137. Cesium-137 is a byproduct of nuclear reactors and has both medical and industrial uses.

It could also be used by terrorists to create a "dirty bomb," and is therefore considered contraband.
