Police investigators and detectives have completed an undercover investigation into vehicle tests around Jerusalem. Authorities believe that the testers allowed vehicles to pass the mandatory tests despite mechanical problems in exchange for bribes.
The investigators also believe that the main suspect was in contact with a number of other nearby garage owners with testing machines. He allegedly produced fictitious certificates for faulty vehicles.
Dozens of people have been arrested in relation to the case.
