Jordanian media report that Arab countries have appointed Jordan to investigate "Israeli violations" on the Temple Mount. The investigation is intended to end in a suit at the International Criminal Court in the Hague.

Feisal Hizashi, the leader of the Jordanian committee, claims that the entire world is joined in acknowledging the need to look into what he calls "repeated violations by Israel that include violating all the agreements and breaking the status quo."

Only a few months ago, Jordan and Israel looked over claims at the site and agreed that the status quo had not been changed. Furthermore, the initial 1949 Armistice Agreement states that Israelis and Jews should have access to holy sites, the violation of which is the essence of the "status quo."
