Police have completed an investigation into the Sajur Regional Council head, Jabar Hamud, who allegedly threatened Power Company workers.
As part of the investigation, police questioned Hamud and interviewed witnesses over the past few days. They concluded that there is evidential basis for charging Hamud with making threats. The case will now be transfered to the police claims division, where it will be examined for a final decision.
The alleged threats came as a result of a debate between the two sides over intended infrastructure work in the Sajur.
