Prosecutors have filed charges against two Arabs from eastern Jerusalem: 22-year-old Hazam Sanduka and 19-year-old Fadi Abu Kiyan. The pair are accused of assisting an enemy group during a time of war and having contact with a foreign agent.
Authorities claim that the two helped a Hamas terrorist obtain explosives.
The terrorist allegedly rented an apartment in Jerusalem's Abu Dis neighborhood and purchased chemical materials with Sanduka and Abu Kiyan's help. Sanduka then instructed him on how to make bombs and was asked to find a suitable site for a shooting attack.
The Hamas member wanted to bring two liters of explosives into Jerusalem in Sanduka's vehicle. Abu Kiyan, who identified with ISIS, planned to bring weapons from Judea and Samaria through checkpoints in order to carry out attacks.
