The US-led coalition against ISIS claims to have reduced the terror group's oil revenues by 30 percent, as a result of its strikes against oil facilities.
The coalition began a major push to target ISIS's oil infrastructure in October. The program is called Operation Tidal Wave II. A coalition spokesperson says that it has involved out 65 air strikes so far. "We assess this operation has reduced their revenue by about 30 percent," he said.
The spokesperson added that ISIS had been producing about 45,000 barrels per day before October, and is now only putting out 34,000 barrels per day.
