The Knesset plenum voted against a preliminary reading of a proposed bill for elected officials to demonstrate transparency when filing declarations of capital.
If passed, the bill would have been binding upon the Prime Minister, ministers, deputy ministers and party heads, as well as upon their relatives. The declarations of capital would have had to be filed within 60 days of their entry into the government roles.
