Saudi Arabia breaks off diplomatic ties with Iran

Saudi Arabia has announced that it is severing its diplomatic relations with Iran.

Tensions have grown between the two countries, Sunni Saudi Arabia and Shi'ite Iran, since Saudi Arabia executed a prominent Shi'ite cleric a few days ago.
