The Ministry of Agriculture has published a memorandum amending the rules on dangerous dogs. Owners of dogs that have bitten people will now be permitted to keep their pets in the home, rather than placing them in a quarantine facility.

This only applies if there is no suspicion of spreading rabies.

In addition, 10-day quarantine period will begin counting from the time of the bite, and not from the time the dog is placed in a facility, as it previously was.
