Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat filed a petition against the National Planning and Construction Committee, in light of plans to build 1,000 new housing units on a large piece of land near the city’s Ramot neighborhood.
The Jerusalem Municipality expressed its opposition, claiming that the building project will harm the environment.
