The family of the Duma case suspect released from Shin Bet (ISA, Israel Security Agency) interrogation to house arrest spoke out on Tuesday afternoon.
“After a month of our son being in the basement of the Shin Bet, enduring harsh torture for suspected involvement in the Duma massacre, we are happy that the district court rejected the Shin Bet’s ridiculous attempt to keep our son behind bars for allegedly being involved in clashes two years ago.”
“The Shin Bet was under pressure from the media and the political sphere and did not act coolly, but rather wildly and without restraint, arresting anyone within arm’s reach and treated them with cruel interrogation techniques.”
