US hails recapture of Ramadi by 'brave Iraqi forces'

The United States welcomed the Iraqi forces' victory over the "Islamic State" (ISIS) terrorist group in the city of Ramadi on Monday, AFP reports.

"We commend the government of Iraq and the brave Iraqi forces who have displayed such tremendous perseverance," State Department spokesman Mark Toner said.
