The Knesset has decided to permit MKs to employ a third parliamentary aide, starting from January 1. The deciding committee chose not to accept the recommendation from the public committee to examine the issue along with an organizational consultant.
"Not everything needs an appointed consultant," said MK David Bitan (Likud), who headed the deciding committee. "When they decided on the Knesset's new building they did not bring an organizational consultant because it was clear and agreed upon that it was inevitable. Give us some credit too. To say that the organization consultant will finish the job within two months is not serious."
