Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat says that, due to the lack of support for the capital from the Finance Ministry, the municipality's professional ranks must prepare for hundreds of cleaners to be fired, reductions in security for schools, and massive cutbacks in welfare, education, and cultural funding.
The cost-saving measures are intended to put together a balanced budget.
