The Ministry for Public Security has published an amendment to the law dealing with those who employ illegal squatters. The squatters in question are nearly all Arabs from Judea and Samaria who do not have permits to be elsewhere in Israel.
Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan (Likud) says that, "whoever employs illegal squatters endangers the lives of Israeli citizens. During the ongoing terror wave, the danger of their presence in city centers and construction sites has been proven. We must seriously punish the squatters' employers, so that it won't be worth it for them to endanger innocent Israeli lives for money."
