Charges were filed against Rabbi Avaham Yosef, the Chief Rabbi of Holon and son of the late Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, for two counts of fraud and breach of trust.
The charges indicate that the rabbi furthered the Badatz Beit Yosef kosher certification, despite conflicts of interests and while taking advantage of his position as a city rabbi to prevent most other Badatz (high level of kosher supervision) certifications to operate in Holon and Or Yehuda.
