The Movement for Quality Government in Israel, in conjunction with the Israel Energy Forum and the Israel Union for Environmental Defense petitioned the High Court to annul the gas deal.
The organizations requested that the High Court enforce the law on the gas companies who were given control of an essential public resource. The organizations further asked that the High Court not allow the companies to abuse their power create a monopoly.
